Arthroscopic staging treatment and curative effect evaluation for knee osteoarthritis

Objective To evaluate the curative effect of knee osteoarthritis in different stage under arthroscopy.Methods According to the American Rheumatism Association revised criteria by X-ray and Ogilive-Harrise and Jackson's arthroscopic criteria of cartilaginous trauma,200 cases with knee osteoarthritis were divided into earlier,middle,and late stage.All were treated accordingly under arthroscopy.Results All cases were followed up for 6 months~ 4 years.In 105 cases of early osteoarthritis,the results were excellent in 25 cases,good in 72,and the excellent and good rate was 92.4 %.In 84 cases of middle osteoarthritis,the results were excellent in 13,and good in 49,and the excellent and good rate was 73.8 %.In 11cases of late osteoarthritis,the results excellent in 0 and good in 4,and the excellent and good rate was 36.4%.Conclusions Cautious indication selection should be take in arthroscopic treatment of knee osteoarthritis.Good results can be obtained with correct diagnosis and proper treatment.
