Abstract
While more studies on Xu Zhimo's poem composing are available,less has been done about his poetic philosophy.This paper attempts to address Xu's poetic philosophy and his unique contributions to modern Chinese poetics,through his discovery of and opinions on important issues of poetry such as poetic ontology,poetry and style,poetry and personality,and poetry and sincerity.
