Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the effect of interleukin-4(IL-4)and interleukin-13(IL-13) of serum on the mechanism of asthma. Methods:The level of IL-4 and IL-13 of serum in 46 patients with acute asthmatic and 46 healthy controls were determined by ELISA.Results:Compared with healthy controls the level of IL-4 and IL-13 with patients was significantly increased(460 ^84±27 ^11)ng/L and (132 ^97±24 ^66)ng/L,P0.001 and(23 ^75±5 ^44)ng/L and (12 ^61±2 ^49)ng/L,P0.001.Conclusions:The results showed that IL-4 and IL-13 may be acted on the mechanism of asthma and play an important effect on nonspecific inflammation and local immunoreaction of the airway of bronchial asthma.
