The Clinical Experience in Cosmetic Restoration with Orthodontic Therapy and PFM Crown

Objective:To evaluate the clinical effects of the combination of orthodontic therapy and PFM Crown in cosmetic restoration of anterior teeth.Methods:21 cases(98anterior teeth)were restored with PFM Crown shortly undertaken orthodontic therapy using straight-wire appliance.Through 3 years follow-up visit studying,we observed the clinical effects including the shift of teeth,the harmony of restoration,the function of speech and bite,the periodontal health etc.Results:Malocclusion deformity had improved,all the restorations had tightly close margin,natural color and shape,except 4teeth lightly shifted with rarely gums bleeding.All the patients were satisfied with the treatment results.Conclusion:The combination of orthodontic therapy and PFM Crown in cosmetic restoration of anterior teeth overcome the limitation of adopting only one therapy,and have reached good clinical effect.
