On Sima Qian's Humanist Thought

Sima Qian examined the formation and development of humanist thought and used the thought to study historical changes and the relationship between people and the rule and order of the nation to reveal the significance of ruling based on humanist thought.He realized in his research that rulers must follow people's aspiration and interests and support people's life instead of benefiting at the latter's expense.Sima Qian's humanist idea is directly related to Confucianism and Taoism.
