Language Development Outlook in Modern Chinese Teaching

Language is developing all the time,and modern Chinese is no exception; however,its development and influence are seldom reflected in the current compilation of college Modern Chinese textbooks and teaching activities,which in turn gives rise to some problems. Therefore,the language development outlook in modern Chinese teaching needs continual reinforcement. It is put forward that in the process of either textbook compilation or teaching activities,emphasis should be laid upon ‘one thread plus two points',with the former referring to the clue of modern Chinese language development in the latest 100 years,while the latter referring to the early modern Chinese language before 1949 and the contemporary Chinese language since the inception of the Reform and Opening- up policy in China respectively.
