Abstract
When the outer enviroment and inner structure of modern Chinese society changed, the thoughts on Chinese literature were partly divided, too. That is to say,the previous advocation to the traditional poems turned into the one sided emphasis on the function of fiction. This trend is based on the understanding of the effect of foreign fictions, and is related to the displacement of Chinese learning existing in the hearts of modern Chinese intellectuals. Therefore, the view on drawing on experience, the purpose for reformation and the improved ruling of the mass make the living surroundings of modern Chinese literature simplistic and complicated, which is derived from the thinking and pattern using culture and literature to solve the cocial and political problems.
