Abstract
Objective:To explore the relationship between vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) and pathogenesis of intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy(ICP).Methods:The expression levels of VEGF in venous serum, amniotic fluid and umbilical venous serum of 30 pregnant women with ICP(observation group) and 30 normal pregnant women(control group) were detected by ELISA.Results:The expression levels of VEGF in venous serum, amniotic fluid and umbilical venous serum in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group(P0.01).Conclusion:The significant decrease of expression level of VEGF may play an important role in the pathogenic mechanism of ICP.
