Expession of TNF and VEGF in patients with intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy

Objective:To explore the expression of the TNF and VEGF in the patients with intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP) and to study the mechanism of ICP.Methods:The ELISA method was used to detect the TNF and VEGF expression in the peripheral blood in the pregnant women, the blood in the umbilical vein and the amniotic fluid between 28 ICP pregnant women and 33 normal pregnant women.Results:The level of the expression of TNF the ICP patients's amniotic fluid and peripheral blood was lower than that of the normal pregnant women(P0.01) and there was no significant difference between the expression of TNF in blood of umbilical vein between the two groups of women.The level of the expression of VEGF in the ICP patients's peripheral blood,umbilical vein blood and amniotic fluid was highter than that of the control group (normal pregnant women)(P0.01).Conclusion:The ischemia and anoxia in tissue and organs result in the production of the VEGF.
