Abstract

12 Hetian sheeps were randomly and equally divided into 3 groups(the control group and experimental groupⅠ,Ⅱ),and two experimental groups were fed with Oxytropis glabra DC at 10 and 20 g·kg-1. d-1 respectively during the test period. The sheep consumed the forages freely until typical symptoms were observed. Before challenge test and at intervals of 7 days in this test, blood biochemical indexes of each group were measured, respectively. The results demonstrated that the activity of AST,ALT,LDH,AKP in experimental groups were significantly higher than normal control group, and the activity of AMA in experimental groups was significantly lower than normal control group, the contents of BUN,CR,GLU and TC were higher than normal control;TG and ALB were lower than normal control. The results showed that Oxytropis glabra DC had remarkable effects on biochemical indicators of the blood in Hetian sheep, further more a time-effect as well as a dose-effect relationship was observed. It was concluded that feeding Oxytropis glabra DC causes damages in heart, liver, kidney and other viscera of Hetian sheep.
