Abstract

Objective To study the degree of job satisfaction for clinical nurses.Methods Investigate 106 clinical nurses on the degree of job satisfaction by self-designed questionnaire.Results The general degree of satisfaction is low and the level of unsatisfactory is 40.6%.The seven survey items ranking from low to high are income,job character,profession development,profession position,nurses-patients relationship,supportive nursing management and nurses-doctors relationship.Conclusion Managers should help the nurse to improve their job satisfaction by increasing the benefit,giving extra payment for night shifts and flexible work schedule,enhancing the training of nurse specialist,improving nurses' mental health and the ability of self control in order to improve the quality of patient care.
