College English Teaching Reform from Language Teaching to Cross-Cultural Two-Way Communication:Review of College English Linguistic and Cultural Teaching Model

Abstract

Based on an analysis of seven College English linguistic and cultural teaching models provided or structured by researchers in our country,the paper gets following conclusion:it is acknowledged in College English teaching field that College English teaching is turning from linguistic teaching to linguistic and cultural teaching,from target linguistic and cultural teaching to both target source linguistic and cultural teaching;the teaching practice of College English teaching reform seems to be far behind teaching theoretical studies;a new theory framework is needed to realize the two turnsin College English teaching reform in order to change situation;how to deal with relation between language and culture in College English teaching is key to realize College English linguistic and cultural teaching.
