Transforming and Upgrading of the Chinese Wood-based Panel Industry

The author reviewed the prosperous development of the Chinese wood panel industry in the past ten years.The review analyzed the current national policies including tax deductions for wood-based panel manufacturers and financing benefits for utilizing renewable raw materials.The favorable policies have provided good opportunities for Chinese wood-based panel manufacturers to accelerate reorganization of wood-based panel industry,upgrade manufacturing facilities,develop new markets,and promote technology innovation and brand name superiority.It was expected that the Chinese wood-based panels industry should focus on value-added wood-based panel products.
