Development and Utilization Status of Understory Resources of Medical Plants in Hainan Island

To provide theoretical references for integrated high-efficient exploitation and utilization and sustainable development of understory resources of medical plants in Hainan Island,the understory resources of medical plant in Hainan Island and the development and utilization status were summarized in this paper.The main existing problems included lacking survey of the resources reserves distribution,no standardized cultivation,low-tech content and low value-added production;To solve these problems,the authors proposed some countermeasures,such as to establish the information database of understory resources of medical plant in Hainan,to establish the GAP cultivation base of understory resources of medical plant in Hainan,and to strengthen the research strength input and utilization level of understory resources of medical plant in Hainan.
