Temporal and Spatial Measure and Convergence Analysis on TFP Growthin China's Domestic Industrial Enterprises

Abstract

This article measures the total factor productivity( TFP) growth of domestic industrial enterprises for China' s30 provinces by using DEA- Malmquist? method,and analyzes stage,regional and convergence characteristics of TFP growth of domestic industrial enterprises from the aspects of technological progress and technological efficiency based on the provincial panel data from 2000 to 2011. The result shows that the TFP growth rate of domestic industrial enterprises in2007- 2011? is higher than that of 2002- 2006. Technological progress is the main driving force of TFP growth. In the spatial contribution,the TFP growth rate is the highest in the east,and the lowest in the west. Besides,the convergence test shows that club convergence within the middle and west districts respectively.
