The Changes of Serum BNP and NO in Patients with Chronic Heart Failure(Type of Heart-kidney Yang Deficiency) Treated with Zhenwu Decoction

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the changes of serum BNP and NO in patients with chronic heart failure(Type of Heart-Kidney Yang Deficiency) treated with Zhenwu decoction.Methods 132 patients were divided into two groups.In control group,the 60 cases were given conventional cardiac,diuretic,vasodilator and other western medical treatment,and in experimental group,other cases were given modified Zhenwu decoction.The changes of serum BNP and NO and efficacy were compared between two groups.Results The effective rate was 96.0% and 72.0%(P0.05) in experimental and control group after four weeks treatment,the difference was significant.The serum BNP and NO declined significantly in experimental group(P0.05).Conclusion Zhenwu decoction is effective in the treatment of chronic heart failure.
