Abstract

Objective To investigate the effects of laratadine on the positive rate of T helper cell 17( Th 17),and expression level of interleukin( IL)-17 and IL-23 in child-hood patients with allergic, and analyzes its mechanism of action. Methods Eighty patients of acute episodes child-hood with allergic rhinitis in treatment group were treated with loratadine 5 m L,per os hora somni, and one course was two weeks.Thirty cases of healthy child-hood in control group were not given any drug. The positive rate of Th17 cells,IL-23 and IL-17 levels in the experimental and control group were compared by flow cytometry and enzyme linked immunosorbent assay( ELISA) before treatment, after 1,2 weeks. Results After treatment, the positive rate of Th17 cell in serum and the content of IL-17,IL-23 in the treatment group were significantly higher than control group( P 0. 05). After two weeks treatment, the positive rate of Th17 cell in serum and the content of IL-17,IL-23 in the treatment group were still higher than control group( P 0. 05). After one week treatment, the positive rate of Th17 cell and the content of IL-17,IL-23 in the treatment group were lower than the before treatment, but the change was no statistical significance( P 0. 05). After two weeks treatment, the positive rate of Th17 celland the content of IL-17,IL-23 in the treatment group were significantly lower than the before treatment( P 0. 05). Conclusion Loratadine syrup can adjust the balance of peripheral blood Treg /Th17 and reduce the expression of the IL-17 and IL-23 to control the inflammatory response of the allergic rhinitis.
