A Study on the Exile System in Yuan Dynasty's Criminal Law

Abstract
The exile system in Yuan Dynasty came from Mongolian's unwritten law and turned into an important penalty for guilty just below the death penalty.At the YanYou period,it was developed into two grades to form the banishment penalty of Yuan Dynasty.As it was formed on the basis of exile,it made the banishment of Yuan Dynasty very unique.The progress of the exile system is a good example to represent the combination of law between Mogolia and Han nations.
