Abstract

Objective To investigate the tissue engineering full thickness repairing deep burn. Methods 36 Ⅲ° bum wounds produced in 6 swine were randomly divided into 3 groups, 12 wounds in each group. Croup A (control group) : no treatment group, Group B: Full-thickness skin autograft group, Croup C: Tissue engineering full-thickness skin graft group. The wound healing conditions were observed regularly after operation. Simultaneously, wound tissue samples were harvested for histological examination. Results Croup B and C has almost the same histological form, but we didn't see hair, sweat gland in group C. And group B and C has no different in shrinkage. Conclusion Tissue engineering full thickness skin has double-deck structure of dermis and epidermis so its histological form are similar to skin. And it can be used in large area deep burn. Tissue engineering skin has potential prospects in application of deep burn.
