Abstract

Objective The purpose of this reasech was to establish the reference ranges on peripheral blood T-lymphocyte subsets in healthy adults in Hunan. Methods One hundred and thirteen whole blood samples were collected from healthy adult from 18 to 60 years old. Absolute counts and percentage of T-lymphocyte subsets of blood samples were calculated by three-color flow cytometer.Results The median values of the T-lymphocyte subsets were 1 422 cells/μl for CD3+, 736 cells/μl for CD4+and 546 cells/μl for CD8+. The median values of the percentage of T-lymphocyte subsets were 52.56% for CD4+and 39.98% for CD8+, and the ratio was1.34 for CD4+/CD8+. No significant differences were observed for different age and gender(P0.05). Conclusion The reference ranges of peripheral blood T-lymphocyte subsets values were proposed by the current study for healthy adults in Hunan, providing more clinical information.
