Abstract
Syntheses of low - molecular weight polyacrylic acid sodium with water as solvent and APS - SHS as redox initiator are studied. The results show that the low - molecular weight polyacrylic acid sodium from 2 000 to 3 000, which is efficiently used in the manufacturing paper industry as dispersing agent, is obtained when the amount of sodium sulfite is 4.5 percent.
