Abstract
Objective To investigate the therapeutic effects of pingyangmycin-lipiodol emulsion (PLE) embolization to treat cavernous hemangioma of liver (CHL).Methods Twenty-eight patients with CHL were embolized by intra-arterial PLE. The changes of tumor diameter were measured and compared before and after the embolization. The relative clinical symptoms and complications were observed. Results The tumor diameter significantly decreased after PLE embolization. The relative clinical symptoms were significantly released. No severe complications happened. Conclusion PLE intra-hepatic-arterial embolization is a effective and safe method for treating CHL.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
