Abstract

Objective:To establish a method for reduction of matrix interference rapidly and effectively. Methods:Several modifiers were tested for the determination of cadmium in whole blood by platform graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry and the mixture of 0.1%PdCl2/0.05%Mg(NO3)2 was chosen as the matrix modifier. The whole blood was diluted with the mixture of 0.05% TritonX-100/0.1% HN03 and determined directly. Results:The detection limit of this method was 0.04 μg/L.The relative standard deviation was in the range of 4.2%~8.1% and the average recovery was more than 95%.Application of this method for quality control of cattle blood samples with blood cadmium were determined, the results were in the true value of quality control within the coincidence rate of 100%.Conclusion:To choose chemical modifier was effective in the elimination of matrix interference for the determination of cadmium in whole blood.
