Preparation and Pharmacokinetics in Beagle Dogs of Gliclazide Osmotic Pump Controlled-release Tablets

Abstract

The osmotic pump-based controlled-release tablets loaded with gliclazide were prepared.The in vitro release and pharmacokinetics in Beagle dogs orally administrated were compared between the gliclazide sustainedrelease tablets(Diamicron)(reference tablets)and the prepared controlled-release tablets(test tablets).Results showed that the in vitro release were similar and the relative bioavailability was(99.4±14.9)%.
