Abstract

In Ordovician carbonate reservoirs of Tahe Oilfield, the reservoir heterogeneity was strong, its space was complex and variable and reservoir fluid identification was difficult. On the basis of reservoir space identification by using logging data and in combination with formation test data, the gas logging value of oil-water layers with different reservoir spaces was discussed, the response characteristics of the gas logging in oil-water layers in different reservoir spaces were discussed. The study shows that the reservoirs with the same fluid property and different reservoir spaces, the distributive range of the total hydrocarbon and its components and extent of gas abnormal characteristics were different. These results provide the basis for fluid property identification by gas logging on the basis of known reservoir space type.
