Abstract

The Ordovician carbonate reservoir in the Eighth Block of Tahe Oil Field is characteristic of massive matrix, development of fissures and porosity, heterogeneity in the vertical and horizontal directions.Based on the observation of drilling cores, drilling and logging data,FMI image logging data, the fissure and porosity systems in the carbonate rocks of Ordovician are identified.Through the initial processing of logging data, characteristic parameters of conventional logging are obtained and typical electricity response characters for 5 types of reservoirs are determined.Accordingly, the identification model of logging classification for reservoir in the studied area is established. On the basis of summarization on the logging response characters for different fluids in different reservoirs, some characteristic parameters reflecting the difference of oil and water are obtained and applied to the identification of oil and water layers. The research provides a practical method for the identification of complicated carbonate reservoir and fluid types in the Tahe oil field.
