Abstract

Water-soluble crude polysaccharide has been extracted by acid from corn-cob.it contained glucose(Glc),xylose(Xyl) and galactose(Gal).The crude polysaccharide has been fractionated by ethanol and purified by Sepharose CL-6B gel filtration.So CCCP was got.Its homogeneity was confirmed by cellulose acetate electrophoresis,chromatography on DEAE-Sephadex A-25 and optical rotation measurement.The identification of purify implies that CCCP was respectively uniform on molecular weight and polarity.Hydrolysis with amylase and hydrolysis with fibrin enzyme,partial hydrolysis with acid,Smith degradation,methylation analysis,also IR,GC,GC-MS were used on the structure-analyse of CCCP.The results revealed that CCCP is a kind of lowly ranched structure.The main chain is mainly made up of(1→3)-linked-Xyl and a few resideues are substituted at O(4).The side chain is composed of (1→4)-linked-Glc,(1→3)-linked-Glc,((1→6))-linked-Glc and (1→3)-linked-Gal,((1→6))-linked-Gal.Some of the(1→4)-linked-Glc residues are substituted at O(6).The nonreduced end is composed of Xyl,Glc and Gal.
