Abstract
Polypropylene(PP) was modified by cross-linking with silane in a concurrent parallel twin-screw extruder to prepare high melt strength PP(HMSPP) for high foaming rate product in the presence of benzoyl peroxide(BPO).The results show that the melt strength of HMSPP are 5.01 times of pure PP,and the mechanical properties and heat resistance of HMSPP are improved significantly, which is suitable for high foaming rate product.
