Abstract
High melt strength polypropylene( HMSPP) was prepared with PP and dicumyl peroxide( DCP) by reaction method using twin-screw extruder. The formula was optimized by orthogonal experimental design. The melt flow quality rate, gel content, mechanical properties and thermal properties of HMSPP were tested and compared with PP. The results showed that the gel content and the melt flow rate of HMSPP were much higher, the mechanical and thermal performances were significantly improved which can meet the production requirements for polypropylene foam.
