Abstract

Xingtai mountain area,belonging to the southern area of Mt.Taihang ranges,is situated in the southwest part of Hebei Province.There are 823 species of wild seed plants,which belong to 93 families and 393 genera in area.Its floristic geographic compositions are complex,and show obviously temperate feature and tropic origin with relatively rich species endemic in China.The floristic compositions of this area and some other mountains were studied by using the similarity coefficient.The results show higher homogeneity and closer relationship in the floristic elements between this area and Mt.Taiyue and Mt.Zhongtiao,and less similarity compared with Mt.Dongling,Mt.Xiaowutai,Mt.Wuling and Mt.Funiu,and the least similarity compared this area with Mt.Changbai and Shennongjia.
