An Analysis of the Low Carbon Economy Development and the Government's Role

Under the context of global warming,the low carbon economy as a new economic development pattern in the future has gradually become the strategic direction of mutual concern around the world.However,its goals of environmental protection and resources saving are in conflict with the economic man characteristic of the market subject,which causes the market failure and hinders the development of low-carbon economy.Based on the study of the relationship between the low carbon economy and the government's role,this paper puts forward some suggestions such as model leading,propaganda education,planning and guidance,system innovation,legislative guarantee,policy guidance and so on,to help the government to promote the low carbon economic development and provide theoretical supports for the realization of the public rationality.
