Abstract
The similarity between hydraulic jump occurred in horizontal open channel flow and internal hydraulic jump happened to stratified flow with still upper layer and flowing lower layer or flowing upper layer and still lower layer is analyzed theoretically. On this basis, the similarity relationships between the water surface curve of gradually varied open channel flow and form of interface profile in stratified flow is deduced from the formula of 1-D gradually varied flow and basic equation of stratified flow. The validity of the relationship is verified by examples.
