Abstract
Study of discharge of stratified fluid through horizontal slot at end of channel; experiments show that when densimetric Froude number is less than 0.28 flow pattern is divided into two horizontal regions; stagnant upper region and lower region in which entire discharge is concentrated; results obtained are useful for solution of engineering problems involving stratified flows.
