Abstract

Objective:To investigate the expression and clinical significance of interleukin-6,interleukin-10and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1)in degenerate human lumbar intervertebral disc tissues. Methods:The expression of IL-6,IL-10and MCP-1in the experimental group(50degenerate lumbar intervertebral disc tissues of patients with lumbar disc herniation)and control group(20lumbar intervertebral disc tissues of patients with traumatic lumbar vertebrae)were detected by enzyme-linked immuno sorbent assay(ELISA)and reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction.Results:IL-6,IL-10 and MCP-1were over-expressed in experimental group compare with control group(P0.05).The expression of IL-6,IL-10and MCP-1were higher in external annulus rupture type as compared with that in annulus intact type(P0.05).Conclusion:The expression inflammatory cytokines IL-6,IL-10and MCP-1increased in the degeneration of intervertebral disc tissue in patients with intervertebral disc herniation, and the expression were associated with the severity of intervertebral disc herniation, which might play an important role in the pathophysiologic process of intervertebral disc herniation.
