Abstract

Objective:To evaluate the value of chinical application of serum cystatin C on the glomerular filtration function in renal damage patients. Methods:The serum cystatin C in 49 normal contrls and 87 patients with renal diseases was respectively determined by altex enhancement immune transmissive turbidimetry, the serum creatinine and endogenous creatinine clearance in all patients were measured at the same. Results:The level of serum cystatin C was gradually elevating along with the decrease of endogenous creatinine clearrance. The serum cystatin C was compared with the serum creatinine and endogenous creatinine clearance with significant difference in the positive ditectable rate in different renal disease groups(P0.01).Conclusion:We concluded that the serum cystatin C could demonstrade the renal filtration dysfunction more sensitive than serum creatinine.
