Abstract
ObjectiveTo study the clinical outcome of day-time continuous veno-venous hemofiltration(CVVH) for multiple organ dysfunction syndrome(MODS). MethodsSixteen patients with MODS were treated by CVVH. The blood urea nitrogen(BUN), creatinine(Cr), TNFα and IL-6 were measured before and after CVVH. Manifestations of the patients were observed as well. ResultsBUN, Cr, TNFα and IL-6 were significantly decreased as compared with those before treatment (t= 1.762-2.153,P0.05 ). Two patients died, the others got satisfactory outcome. The average hospital stay was 31.6 days. ConclusionThe outcome of day-time CVVH for MODS is definite. [
