Abstract

Through comparing on the early growth(the first 3 years) and the freezing tolerance between Eucalyptus urophylla U6 clones and E.grandis×E.urophylla DH3229 Clone,the result shows that the diameter at breast height and tree height of E.urophylla U6 clones were significantly greater than that of E.grandis×E.urophylla DH3229 Clone in the first year,and the freezing tolerance of E.grandis×E.urophylla DH3229 Clone was significantly greater than that of E.urophylla U6 clones after 2 years,and the diameter at breast height and tree height of E.grandis×E.urophylla DH3229 Clone were significantly greater than that of E.urophylla U6 clones after 3 years.Considering the early growth and freezing tolerance of the two eucalyptus clones,E.grandis×E.urophylla DH3229 Clone is better for planting in Wuping County.
