Repairing traumatic skull defect with self-skull particles

Objective To explore the operation approaches and therapeutic efficacy of repairing traumatic defect of skull with self-skull particles. Methods The authors retrospectively analyzed 36 cases of traumatic defect of skull repaired with self-skull particles. Results The operations on 36 cases were all successful at one time and healing were appeared in all of the 29 cases follow up surveyed 3 months later. Conclusion Repairing defect of skull with self-skull particles is simple at operation as well as feasible in the treatment of traumatic and depressed skull fracture.
