Abstract

To study the effect of mindiab on peripheral neropathy. Methods: Type 2 diabetics rats were induced by diets enriched sucrose and lard and by intraperitoned injection30mg/kg streptozotocin(STZ). Then, the model rats were divided into two groups: diabetes mellitus group and treatment group (the rats were fed with mindiab 5mg/kg·d). After 1,3 month of drug, respectively, we observe the electrophysioloyic changes and the pathology developing of sutal nerve. Results: The motor latent velocitics、conduction velocity and wave of action potential in treated group were improving, and the pathological change was lighter than diabetes group. Conclusion: These findings suggest that mindiab has some effect in the treatment of peripheral neuropathy in diabetic rars.
