Evolvement and Comparative Analysis of Population Gravity Center and Economy Gravity Center from 1987 to 2006 in Henan

Taking the conception and model of the regional gravity center and adopting the data collecting from each district from 1987 to 2006,this paper calculates the population gravity center and the economy gravity center yearly,figures out the dynamic evolvements of these two gravity centers and analyzes the dynamic change of the population and economy regional differences and their related causes and at the same time,makes a contrastive analysis of the dynamic evolvement tendencies of the two gravity centers.And use GIS software to make the space evolution map of the center of gravity of population and economy,The results shows that the distribution of population and economy of Henan Province is disequilibrium,The main characteristic of the population distribution is imbalance between east and West,the eastern part of the population density is higher than the west;The main pattern of economic is the gap between North and South t,he northern part of the economy is better than the South,deviation of demographic and economic center of gravity of Henan Province indicate that the larger gap of the regions in Henan Province has effected further development of the economy.
