Abstract

OBJECTIVE To approach the infection status and antimicrobial resistance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa(PAE) causing nosocomial infections to provide the experimental evidence for the clinically reasonable application of the antibiotics.METHODS PAE were cultured and identified according to the National Guide to Clinical Laboratory Procedures. The drug sensitivity testing was performed by K-B method.RESULTS A total of 212 strains of PAE were mainly isolated from the lower respiratory tract(57.5%),skin and mucosa(18.4%) and infected urinary tract(11.8%).The susceptibility testing results indicated that antibiotics with above 50.0% resistance rates were SMZ/TMP,gentamycin,ciprofloxacin.The antibiotics with above 80.0% susceptibility rates were imipenem,meropenem,cefperazone/sulbactam and amikacin.CONCLUSION The drug resistance of PAE causing nosocomial infections in senile is very serious. We should strengthen the monitoring, prevention and controlling of it.
