Abstract

OBJECTIVE To analyze the infection status and antimicrobial resistance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa(PAE) causing nosocomial infections to provide the reference for the clinical control of nosocomial infections. METHODS Referring to National Guide to Clinical Laboratory Procedures, the infective specimens were collected to perform the bacterial culture and identification. The drug susceptibility testing was performed by K-B methods recommended by CLSI.The testing results were assessed. RESULTS Totally 168 strains of PAE were mainly isolated from the lower respiratory tract(50.6%),urinary tract(18.5%),skin and mucosa(12.5%),etc.The susceptibility testing results indicated that the antibiotics with above 40.0% resistance rates were SMZ-TMP,gentamycin,ciprofloxacin.The antibiotics with above 90.0% susceptibility rates were imipenem and meropenem. CONCLUSION The drug resistance of PAE causing nosocomial infections in senile is increasing seriously. We should strengthen the monitoring to prevent and control the outbreak and dissemnation.
