Abstract
To distinguish modal parameters of drum type brake by means of testing modal analysis combined with calculating modal analysis is a cornparatively practical and effective modal analysis method used in engineering work,which takes finite element calculating modal analysis as the principal method and supPlemented with testing modal analysis as verification of the result of the former. Finite element model has been established based on various sub-systems of drum type brake and cartoon display used to observe modes of vibration of different modal orders,thus post processing problems of the finite element analysis are well solved.
