Abstract
The composition of monosaccharides hydrolyzed from tea polysaccharides was assayed by the technique of dual-wavelength thin-layer scanning (TLC). The standard curves of arabinose, D-glucose, D-galactose and D-xylose were shown to be in the range of 1.200~7.200 μg. The recovery of the above-mentioned monosaccharides was 97.60, 98.51, 98.10 and 95.90, respectively. The monosaccharide constitution of the polysaccharides was arabinose ∶ D-glucose ∶D-galactose ∶ D-xylose = 10.30 ∶11.40 ∶8.37 ∶1.28.
