Abstract
To observe the efficacy and safety of mycophenolate mofetil(MMF )therapy for lupus nephritis, the patients with lu-pus nephritis diagnosed by kidney biopsy were divided into an experiment group treated with MMF and prednisone and a con-trol group treated with cyclophosphamide(CTX)and prednisone.Comparison of response to therapy was made between the two groups. It was found that though half of the patients of experiment group were resistant to CTX,there was no significant dif fer-ence in response to these two groups(P0.05),but the speed at which prednisone dosage was reduced in the experiment group was quicker than that of the control group(P0.01).It is suggested that the response to MMF therapy for lupus nephritis is better than CTX.
