Abstract
When Emperor Hanyuan came to the throne, in case of critical social conflicts, the authorities had to alter the policies from mixed ways of tyranny and virtues to mild politics with Confucianism. Emperor Hanyuan himself respected the Confucianism, and also had had good eaducation and knowledge in Confucianism. For these reasons Emperor Hanyuan giving more power to those Confucians. Because Emperor Hanyuan appointed a lot of Confucian scholars, the structure of the government bureaucracy had been changed greatly, the social conflicts were allaying, and besides, the study of Confucian Classcis and feudal culture developed. But it also gave rise to some negative effects.
