Abstract

The new policy of land revolution and armed struggle made at the August 7th Meeting can be regarded as the new starting point in the application of Marxism to Chinese Revolution as well as the new task during the journey of Chinese revolution. Mao Zedong, as the eminent Marxist theorist, has become mature in the application of Marxism to Chinese Revolution. And defects of the August 7th Meeting are closely related with dogmatism existing in the Party during the period of land revolution. The August 7th Meeting, as the starting point of the application of Marxism to Chinese Revolution, is actually slow and unsteady, and has important implications for the development of Marxism in contemporary China.
