Abstract

Objective To study the human papillomavirus(HPV) infection in married females and its subtype distribution. Methods PCR and gene chip technology were used to test 920 cervical cell samples, and 23 HPV genotypes were detected. Results Among 508 positive samples,21 subtypes of 23 known subtypes were detected. The low risk subtype HPV-44 and high risk subtype HPV-MM4 had not been detected.Altogether 508(55.22%)women were HPV positive among 920 patients.Of 508 HPV positive cases,238(24.74%) were HPV-16,100(10.4%) were HPV-11,95(9.88%) were HPV-6,84(8.73%) were HPV-58,and 75(7.8%) were HPV-33.285 cases were single HPV type infection,223 cases were double and multiple HPV types infection.HPV positive rates in different age groups(20,20~29,30~39,40~49 and ≥50) were 1.97%,25.78%,37.60%,23.43% and 11.22%,respectively.Conclusion HPV infection in woman in Beijing was severe. The distinction of HPV genotypes play an important role in prevention and management of cervical cancer.
