Effect of mitomycin C with adjustable suture in trabeculectomy

Abstract

Object To discover the effect of mitomycin C with adjustable suture in trabeculectomy. Methods Place 0.4mg-0.5mg/L mitomycin C sponge discs under scleral flap in opration and take out after 5 minutes then wash sclera with 100ml equihbrium liquid and place 2 adjustable sutures on the side of scleral flap. Results Average intraocular pressure 11.28mmHg in Out-charge patients,13.34mmHg after 1 month,14.76mmHg after 1 year. Conclusion This way is effection in decreasing intraocular pressure, reducing postoperative complications and promoting operative success ratio.
