How is It Possible of Modern Virtue Ethics

The inquiry of how it is possible of modern virtue ethics is normally understood as an effort to justifying virtue ethics modern society.This viewpoint indicates that virtue ethics,represented by Aristotelian and Confucian ethics West and East respectively,is kind of traditional(or classical) thought.This paper,however,suggests that the development of virtue ethics modern West is not simply a revival of Aristotelian ethical thought.The question is not how it is possible of virtue ethics in the past tense modern society,but how virtue ethics is able to prove that it has more theoretical strength than normative ethics,the rival from the very beginning.Anscombe and later West scholars of virtue ethics approach the question from two aspects.This paper attempts to explore the interdisciplinary field of philosophy and psychology.
